What was the highlight of Heartland Hotel Queenstown
Great location, but could use an upgrade
The view was amazing, it was within walking distance to town - but the walk back up the hill was awful.
The bathroom is in desperate need of some repairs / upgrades. The plug for bath was broken and we had to get a new one. The wood is all rotten around the tub area, the mechanism for the bath or shower didn’t work that great, so when running bath the shower still dribbled and when having shower the bath dribbled. No air con in the room, and the heater system was quite tricky to work out. The plugs for the light fittings were dangerous with exposed wires, and when we asked for our room to be cleaned daily, only the towels and condiments were replaced, no vacuuming. The bed mattresses could definitely be replaced they both slumped in the middle.

Excellent location
Staff were very helpful with finding a spot to park the car and with carrying our bags down the stairs. Very friendly at check in too.
We ate dinner in the hotel. The lamb shanks should have mashed potato with them not a dried up rice cake.

Wonderful
The breakfast was very good, the room was spacious and good stock of tea and coffee etc. Nice menu for room service.
I prefer a shower in a cubicle plus there was a bit of dust left on skirting boards and on the ledge behind the toilet basin. The bathroom could do with a revamp.

A good place to stay, walking distance from the town centre and waterfront.
Nice room with good view over the town and lake.
Tour bus parked outside our room revved and loaded very early in the morning.
